Somerset is full of history and intrigue, local mythology and impressive buildings adorn the heart of the West Country. So, whilst staying with us here at Bowlish House, take advantage of the beauty of the Great British countryside and delve into the past to see why Britain is so Great!Located on the Wells to Bath road A371 on Wells Road in Shepton Mallet, Somerset. 5 minutes from the town centre at the bottom of Pike Hill. Nearest train station - Castle Cary 10 minutes by car.The proprietors, Jason Goy and Darren carter, are implementing a gradual restoration of the interior of the building, creating a natural blend of Georgian architecture with cotemporary art providing truly stylish yet charming surroundings where everyone is made welcome. Open for morning coffee as well as lunch and dinner, the menus make the most of seasonal local produce and are creative whilst ensuring there is something for every palate. Choose from lighter meals such as sea bass served on a bed of lemon and ginger couscous or more robust dishes like rack of English lamb with a Roquefort and nutmeg breadcrumb served with turnip mash and a rich red wine jus.
