Louise and John McCann's large Victorian home is only a few minutes from Alton Towers and you can get in the mood for fun-seeking with its wonderful themed rooms. Each of the three spacious family suites is different. 'Sally' where we stayed, has a kids' twin-bedded room with jungle mural, fake furry animal skins and zebra cushions (plus PlayStation and TV). There's artwork in the adult quarters, too, with a backdrop of Tuscan ruins. We loved the attention to detail, such as the chocolates on the stacks of towels and family friendly DVDs by the TV. Breakfast is self catering - cook it up on the hob or in the microwave, and choose from a huge selection of fresh fruit, croissants, eggs, sausages, bacon, fresh mushrooms and tomatoes and cereals. After a long day in the theme park, you can unwind in the on-site hot tub or sauna, and order in a takeaway pizza. There's also a pub a couple of doors down. John and Louise are friendly, helpful and welcoming hosts who are happy to pass on information about the surrounding countryside, which boasts many more attractions than just Alton Towers.

My boyfriend and I have stayed at Heywood Hall twice now and are returning on 15th May for two nights.
All i can say about this accommodation is FANTASTIC! The owners are lovely, lovely people. The rooms are very comfortable, extremely spaces and clean and you honestly could not ask for anymore.
The price for a night’s accommodation is excellent.
You are always made to feel very welcome at Heywood Hall; I genuinely recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone with or without children.
It is lovely!
