Booked the restaurant for a Sunday lunch for 7. We were a little late in arriving, but none the less were made welcome. Restaurant was full and had a nice atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and operate an efficient service. Food was brilliant - fairly priced, nicely presented and of good quality. Too many pubs have jumped onto the "gastro-pub" bandwagon, charging high prices for poor quality food, but not this one. It was just right. Menu is not too big, but has something for everyone. Will definitely return.

What a lovely pub. They seem to have struck the balance between friendly/welcoming/relaxed drinking pub and still serve bloody good food, but not overly gastro-pubby (ie good size portions) Lots of delicious local meat and fish, I had the local lamb (the best I've ever had) and my partner had the fish pie (fab quality chock full of salmon, prawns etc) And amazingly it only came to 32 for two of us with drinks! We will definitely return soon
