Barbara Mills
- Favourite Briton.

Born in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire
Born on 11th of August 1940

Barbara Mills achieved high legal office, her rise regarded to a certain extent as breaking the glass ceiling in her field. She was called to the Bar at Middle Temple after undergraduate studies in Oxford, and had a successful career as a prosecuting counsel; was appointed head of the Serious Fraud Office, and eventually Director of Public Prosecutions and Head of the Crown Prosecution Service. While in that latter role she was felt to have let CPS bureaucracy get out of hand, and was attacked for frequently backing away from prosecuting death-in-custody cases
