Brentwood Museum - very interesting and the volunteers who run the museum very helpful. The story of PC Gutteridge was extremely interesting and I would love to see a special presentation in the museum on him at some point in time. It was good to wander around the Cemetary my only criticism is that it is being left as a nature/ wilderness apart from the war graves. I would love to be able to view the whole cemetary and not have to wait for the annual cut back. Well worth a visit - Will
Clacton on Sea
Exhillerating promenade walks amidst spray of the waves in the winter. perfect english sea-side. best stay was at Parade Hotel right on the seafront. when we have all this in our country, why fly abroad! - Visitor Rex
Colchester Zoo - It's great fun for children and adults alike, I took my 7 year old son with me and my partner, there are lots of things to do and the food isn't expensive at all - Lisa
Dedham is a large village at the heart of what is known locally as Constable Country. John Constables father had a mill here and the associations - like Flatford Mill for instance - lie all around. Its 15th Century wealth was built on the wool trade and there remain many buildings in the centre that date from this town. A perfect weekend break destination.
