If you are attending Offshore Europe 2007 (OE) and need somewhere to stay why not stay somewhere with a difference!Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre (AECC) have organised for a beautiful premium rated contemporary cruise ship, the Athena, to be berthed at the cruise liner quay at Peterhead harbour, just north of the AECC, to provide accommodation from the 2nd to the 8th of September for exhibitors and visitors of OE.The Athena was built as a trans-Atlantic liner and was totally refurbished in 2004. She is a classic Greek owned ship who currently cruises around the Mediterranean and the Norwegian Fjords. In 2005, the Athena was berthed in Shetland for the Island Games where she was successfully used to accommodate athletes and visitors from all over the world.The cruise ship offers a range of accommodation including Standard, Classic and Deluxe Cabins. There are also a variety of Suites available, all of which come with jacuzzi baths, some of the Suites also come with balconys and seperate seating areas. All accommodation include the following;• Air conditioning• Private en-suite facilities including bath, shower and bidet• There is ample wardrobe and storage space• Music channels, satellite television and in house films• Hairdryer• Personal safe• Mini bar and fridgeThe Athena features the Calypso Show Lounge, a nightclub, cinema, shopping boutique and library. There is also a fitness centre and sauna. Dinner and breakfast will be proded on board as well as room service faciltiies. Luxuary coach transfers to and from the AECC will be available throughout the week for all guests.
