We thought this was a lovely little hotel, very romantic and cozy. Lucky really, as we just took a punt and booked via their website (chaselodgehotel.com). And we loved it. It's the type of small, independent hotel that they have in France but don't seem to do in England for some reason. The staff were really friendly (they were even nice to our dog) and the whole place felt unique, like we'd stumbled in on our own little secret. We went for the four poster bed which was a first for us, dropped our car in the little car park round the corner then headed off to eat at Jamie Oliver's (his restaurant that is, not his actual house) (I wish). In the morning we walked through Bushey Park and looked at all the deer. Honestly, I couldn't recommend this little hotel more. Far nicer than any anaemic tower block chain hotel any day. Next time, we'll probably try another County just to see a bit more of England but we do have very fond memories of the Chase Lodge Hotel. Thoroughly recommended.

Aylesbury M & S is very behind the times with late opening hours. Very dissapointed after seeing adverts in local press re late night shopping starting in Aylesbury from 9th November with free car parking to find the doors locked in my face at 6pm. All other large stores open Boots etc. How can a large name like yours afford to close so early??? Also one late opening per week at normal times would be very useful. Please comment
