Leith Hill
Leith Hill is a hill located in the English county of Surrey, just south of the market town Dorking . At 965 feet above sea level it is the highest point on the Greensand Ridge. Leith Hill Tower, an 18th century Gothic folly, sits atop the hill. It was restored in 1984 by the National Trust and a walkway now takes visitors to the top where stunning views of the surrounding country await. These views can include site of no less than thirteen counties if visibility is exceptionally good. The lower portion of the tower has been converted into a National Trust shop which includes a comprehensive display showing the history of the tower.
