Capel is a picturesque village that's perfectly positioned in the Mole Valley area in the county of Surrey, and is home to just over one thousand two hundred people. Agriculture and farming have played an important role in the history of the village throughout the ages, a legacy of which remains today with the many farms that still survive. A stroll around the village will uncover an eclectic mix of houses and buildings that line the roads in this leafy pocket of Surrey, together with the pretty 13th Century Church that's dedicated to St John the Baptist which has an impressive spire that graces the skyline, and gem coloured stained glass windows. This award winning village has the usual shops for that everyday essential purchase, a choice of restaurants nearby with tempting menus, and pub to try, or perhaps a jaunt to the village green complete with pond will be first choice. As Capel is positioned just a few miles from the bustling town of Dorking and yet nestles within the delightful Weald, it is ideally placed with stunning views of the surrounding countryside where walkers and artists will be well rewarded on any of the footpaths on offer.
